LAND ADJOINING THE HERMITAGE, GRANGE ROAD, NETLEY ABBEY

 

An application is being submitted to Eastleigh Borough Council for the development of 12 dwellings on the site including creating a new vehicular access off Grange Road.

Pre-application discussions have been held with Eastleigh Borough Council to discuss the proposed development. The layout has been reworked in response to the advice provided.

 

A number of reports have been undertaken to advise on the proposed development and these include:

  • Ground conditions testing is currently ongoing (Geo-Environmental)
  • Bat surveys are currently ongoing (Hampshire Ecological Services Ltd)

 

Proposal

There will be a mixture of detached houses and semi-detached houses which will comprise of four 2 bedrooms and eight 3 bedrooms. Two of the houses will be affordable units with the remainder being market housing. Each dwelling will have 2 allocated parking spaces and there will be an additional 4 visitor spaces within a parking court. Secure bicycle stores will be provided within the curtilage of each property to accommodate 2 cycle spaces.

 

A new access will be created off Grange Road which will take the form of a T-junction with a simple priority arrangement. A new pavement will be created either side of the of the access  to allow pedestrians to cross safely to the existing pavement to the south.
