Michael Knappett BSc BTP MRTPI

Planning Consultant, Footballer and Marathon Runner, Michael holds the degree of Bachelor of Science in Geography from Manchester Metropolitan University and a Bachelor degree in Town Planning from the University of Manchester. He joined the Practice in 2003, is now a Senior Planner and a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
Michael is primarily involved in development control matters within the Practice. He specialises in the submission of planning applications for residential development, changes of use of buildings/land, prior notifications, agricultural and equestrian applications to name but a few. He also undertakes work on planning appeals and provides planning appraisals for individual householders, small organisations and house builders.
Increasingly, he is becoming involved in planning policy work and supports the other members of the Practice with Local Development Framework objections and individual site submissions.
