BJC recently achieved planning permission for a part single/part two storey rear extension for a residential property in Southampton. The development had been completed without the benefit of planning permission and the Council was considering enforcement action. BJC submitted an application on behalf of the owner to regularise the matter but the City Council chose to issue an Enforcement Notice before the planning application was determined.

 

The service of the Enforcement Notice required prompt action by BJC to lodge an appeal against the Notice. Shortly after the service of the Notice the Council granted permission for the development. The withdrawal of the Enforcement Notice is anticipated shortly.
