BJC has obtained Listed Building Consent from Fareham Borough Council for internal alterations to a first floor flat above commercial premises within Fareham High Street Conservation Area. The works comprised the installation of a new stairwell to serve additional bedrooms within the roof space of a Grade II Listed Building. Planning permission was also received for the installation of conservation rooflights required to provide daylight to the new bedrooms.
This particular development was a good example of a scheme which had been negotiated with the Council’s Conservation Officer prior to submission, and which ultimately had the support of the Council when submitted.
