Planning permission has been granted by East Hampshire District Council for the erection of 3 detached dwellings with access and parking on former garden land. The site provides for 3 and 4 bedroom dwellings and adjoins two other sites where BJC Ltd has previously secured permission for residential development.
The scheme was a good example of how appropriate residential development is achievable on garden land, despite the revisions to PPS3 in June 2010 and the moratorium on this kind of development by some Local Planning Authorities.
The site constraints required specialist reports to cover contamination, drainage, ecology and arboricultural issues.
