Planning permission has been granted on appeal for a detached annexe in the rear garden of a house. The Council raised issues relating to the impact on neighbours and loss of privacy which was not supported by the Inspector.
The appeal was lodged under the householder appeal process with the decision being issued on 3 days after the Inspectors site visit!
The Inspector dismissed part of the appeal which related to a cover over a swimming pool. This matter is hopefully going to be resolved by exploring Permitted Development Rights to enclose the swimming pool.
This was a case where local residents had been very vociferous in objecting to every form of development on the site. BJC Ltd is delighted to achieve their client’s aspirations for the site using their comprehensive knowledge of the planning system.
