Replacement Dwelling in Compton, Winchester
A replacement dwelling has been finally completed after a series of planning permission were sought to achieve the required accommodation. Winchester City Council had initially refused permission for a 5 bedroom replacement dwelling on the site because of concerns about the size and visual impact. Bryan Jezeph Consultancy was instructed to assist with a strategy to achieve the client’s objectives. The first stage of the project involved securing planning permission for a 4 bedroom replacement dwelling which was achieved in October 2008. In January 2009 a further extension to the house was sought and then again in March 2009 a application for a second extension was sought. These two extensions provided the client with sufficient additional space to meet his objectives. The dwelling is now finished and it relates well to the streetscene and to other properties in Shepherds Lane.
